Fall Days

Even though we are well into fall, southeast Texas is still registering 80 degree days.

This weekend has been gorgeous.  The temperature is at 80 but with very low humidity.  If you have spent any time in or around Houston you know low humidity is a wonderful feeling.

I am happy to report that with this weather related phenomenon I was finally able to grow grass in my front by yard.  This experience has been very rewarding considering I have been struggling to grow native grass for 2 years.  Sure weeds, and St Augustine grow well in this area however they are non native species.    My goal is to restore as many native species as possible to my 5 acres.
